Mel. White is reformed Army brat, who settled down quite nicely several decades ago with her husband, 2 
kids, and cats to become a full-time Texan.  Like many other artists, she supplements her income from art 
with a daytime job as a Software Support Analyst/Web-Designer for the City of Garland, Texas.  Loosely 
translated, that means she'll program just about anything for food.  Or a salary.

She has a wide rage of artistic styles to call on, from realistic to cartoonish.  Her assignments are as varied 
as her art styles and she'sdone everything from filmstrip illustration to viedo graphics, computer 
animation for web pages, graphic novels, comic book artwork, single panel cartoons, cards, rubber stamps, 
and even paper dolls.  Her art appears at many science fiction conventions around the USA.
